Composed by Shinichi Kaneda. Chamber Music. Ensemble. Score & parts. Duration 4:45. Bravo Music #ENMS-84089. Published by Bravo Music (BZ.ENMS-84089).

Second Suite was written for Kamiyamaguchi Junior High School Band, Tokorozawa, Saitama, in 1998. The writer utilized expressive, fragmentary short phrases. The first movement is bright with high tension. In the second movement, keyboards powerfully present the melody with the swell of waves. Mysterious tunes including augmented and diminished intervals dominate the third movement, and the pulsation that is the essence of percussion tightens the movement in the closing section.

In this work, like others from Mr. Kaneda, normal instruments are effectively used to realize a rich singing style, and its educational consideration allows beginners to also perform.
