This original tune, written in a traditional style, is a great introduction to the famous ‘Scotch Snap’ and is arranged here for Multi-Level String Quartet of 3 Violins & Cello. (It is also available in the traditional quartet instrumentation of 2 Violins, Viola & Cello).
Each player has a choice of playing from either the 'Advanced' part (suitable for players at ABRSM Grade 4 / 5+ level)
OR from the 'Junior - Intermediate' part (suitable for players at ABRSM Grade 1 - 3 level).
As each player can just pick 'n' mix the best part for them, we hope that this allows mixed ability quartets to play together happily.
Scores and an Optional Piano Accompaniment are included as standard and free Play-Along videos for Open String parts for Violin, Viola, Cello & Double Bass are available on YouTube @PicknMixStrings, which will fit with this String Quartet Arrangement - should anybody wish to do a combined performance!
