A flowing left-hand figure reminiscent of Chopin or Rachmaninoff travels through several keys and moods, then shifts to the right hand, as a repeating triplet, then returns to the left. Suspensions and rich altered harmony are used throughout. This Late-Romantic style piece is longer than most of the others in the set, and is more of a challenge as to interpretation as well. 3 mins 45 secs. to 4 mins, depending on tempo and ritards, acellerandos, etc.
