Composed as a "second anthem" at the end of Communion, this prayer of benediction, with its alternating verses for SA and TB and closing verse for full choir, is a quiet and lyrical addition to the choir repertoire for a variety of occasions. Although it is not difficult, it has a very gentle expressive melody that gracefully supports the text.
