A fun, short work for piano, each movement varies in difficulty, with The Grand Ball as the easiest and The Devil's Waltz as the most challenging. Performance time of the entire work is about 10 minutes, but each movement is short and can be performed effectively as a stand-alone work. Each movement is written based on a different historical genre of music: Distance is inspired by modern choral works, The Grand Ball is Classical in nature, Nocturne is in the Romantic style, and The Devil's Waltz calls upon the church modes and dissonance of the early and late 20th century.
