I've taken this whimsical Christmas tune and written it to be played with a violin soloist who will take the main melody and play it as a cadenza before finishing out with the rest of the orchestra. There's an interlude where the string ensemble gets to take the melody as well, so everyone gets to have some fun! This piece will be perfect for your ensemble that has a talented violinist who could use a challenge piece. Consider programming it for your strings ensemble's Christmas Concert.
