All six of the titles I have listed on SMP are now gathered into ONE Volume, at a nice savings. The individual audio clips can be heard where the single titles are listed. Hemiola Rag, The Conniptions, A Ragtime Mystery, The Red Carpet Rag, Persnickety Rag, and Hyperbole in Rhythm, a Ragtime Etude. These pieces use Major and minor keys, classic Missouri style and a variety of left-hand accompaniment styles, from single bass notes or chords to full-on stride. Also, key changes, and the full complement of compositional elements made timeless by the the early ragtime players, who wrote down their most inspired syncopated adventures in such a way so that we moderns can follow in their footsteps, and yet express our own musical moods and ideas through this uniquely American medium. Each chorus, stanza or trio is on a single page, no pageturns within a section. MBB.
