Mountain Majestic ist eine Einzelausgabe des fesselnden Schlussteils von Poema Alpestre, eine Hommage des Komponisten Franco Cesarini an seine Schweizer Heimat, die von den majestätischen Gipfeln der Alpen geprägt ist. Darüber hinaus reflektiert die Musik auch die Bedeutung der Berge als Schnittstelle von Himmel und Erde, von spiritueller und materieller Welt. Der Wirkung dieser beeindruckenden Komposition wird sich niemand, auch wenn er nicht wie Cesarini in den Bergen aufgewachsen ist, entziehen können.

Mountain Majestic est le dernier mouvement de Poema Alpestre, un poème symphonique dédié la grandeur majestueuse de la montagne ; une oeuvre somptueuse et grandiose dans laquelle la musique alterne entre des moments exprimant une réalité matérielle et tangible et des moments de spiritualité intense.

Nascere, come nel caso di Franco Cesarini, in un paese dove l’orizzonte è delimitato dall’imponente massa delle Alpi, significa crescere con la montagna onnipresente, nel cuore e nell’anima. La questione del perché Cesarini abbia voluto scrivere un pezzo dedicato alla montagna potrebbe avere mille risposte e nessuna al contempo. La frase seguente, scritta da Alan Hovhaness, riassume in modo efficace lo spirito più autentico della montagna, così come anche Cesarini l’intende: “Le montagne sono simbolici luoghi d’incontro tra il mondo materiale e quello spirituale”. In quest’ottica Franco Cesarini ha composto nel 1999 Poema Alpestre, un brano che descrive in musica episodi della vitain montagna. Mountain Majestic, la coinvolgente parte finale di Poema Alpestre, è disponibile in un’edizione separata per banda.
