Harp - Level 2 - Digital Download
SKU: A0.1100218
By Cat Stevens. By Cat Stevens and Eleanor Farjeon. Arranged by Christy-Lyn Dosé. Folk,Pop. Score. 3 pages. Learning the Harp #704099. Published by Learning the Harp (A0.1100218).
Late-Beginner for Harp. “Morning Has Broken” is a Cat Stevens classic that brings back great memories for those who were around in the 70s! For the harp player, it’s an opportunity to learn some new skills. This piece includes right hand 4-finger shapes that are good to learn at this level, and 3 different syncopated rhythms to practice. The left hand has a variety of simple shapes and patterns that are important to learn and be able to switch between seamlessly. The overlapping brackets with repeated notes in the melody gives a higher than usual risk of buzzing, so the Video Course will help with that potential problem.
Difficulty Level and Skills Required: Late-beginner. The right hand has some syncopation and complex overlapping brackets using all 4 fingers. The left hand part has a variety of simple shapes and patterns.
Type of Harp: C to C 22 string harps. (19 string harps can play it an octave higher).
Range: Lowest note is C an octave below middle C, the highest note is D an octave above middle C.
Levers/Pedals: No levers needed, no lever changes.
What's Included: PDF download of 3 pages.Fingering and bracketing are included.
