The Viola I part is to be played in the third position, although it can also be played in the first position if the violist so desires. The Viola II part uses double stops and is thus to be played by the viola teacher or by a more advanced violist. This hymn has become associated with the RMS Titanic, as passengers reported that the string ensemble played it in the final minutes before the vessel sank. Included: Full score and separated parts for each instrument.
