Composed by Seth Almond. Standards. Score and parts. 44 pages. Seth Almond #6686837. Published by Seth Almond (A0.1019876).

This original composition for Concert Band by Seth Almond entitled "Looking on Heaven's Scenes", is a piece written in remembrance of Staff Sergeant Jordan P. Snow. Seth Almond had the honor of serving with Jordan in the Quantico Marine Corps Band in Quantico, VA. After serving four years in the Marine Corps, Jordan Snow enlisted into the Vermont National Guard as a member of the 40th Army Band. In the summer of 2021, Jordan passed and it was a total shock to have lost such a joyful soul, great husband, Marine, and friend. Select melodic lines throughout the piece feature certain instruments who some of Jordan's close friends played during their time serving with him. This piece’s title pays homage to the final lines of the Marines' Hymn:

"If the Army and the Navy

Ever look on Heaven's scenes;

They will find the streets are guarded

By United States Marines."
