The lyrical melody I have written to dominate my work is especially accompanied by rhythmic patterns of the Bambuco, a syncopated and ternary musical expression that was born in central Colombia, my native country, among peasants who still sing and dance it amidst the fields of their beautiful mountainous world. "Lied" is, then, what I would like to call a simple, lyrical, Colombian song. - Alexander Klein.
