Claude Debussy (1862-1918) wrote the waltz La plus que lente for solo piano in 1910, a work that may or may not have been inspired by a small sculpture on his mantelpiece. The title is meant to wryly suggest Debussy's intention to emulate the valse lente (slow waltz) that was all the rage in France at the time. An orchestration was also conceived in 1910, though Debussy opposed the heavier use of percussion and brass, then proposed his own lighter version, which was published in 1912. Instrumentation: 1.0.1.0: 0.0.0.0: Cimbalom.Pno: Str (9-8-7-6-5 in set).
These products are currently being prepared by a new publisher. While many items are ready and will ship on time, some others may see delays of several months.
