Premiered and recorded by Paul Ayres on Goetze & Gwiynn's 'Handel House' Organ at St. George's Church, Hanover Square, London, 2007. In Handel's Name is built on the notes G-F-H (the German equivalent to G-F-B), which are the initials of the great Baroque composer, George Frideric Handel (1685-1759). The three notes are transformed into a series of themes with different characters and tonal/modal centers.
