I performed the 2005 world premiere of Daniel Pinkham's St. Luke Organ Book, and composed/performed this piece as a prelude. In Nomine (aka the Little Time Machine) is based on the traditional tune In Nomine as a cantus prius factus. The little time machine moves through 600 years of musical style in 3 minutes. It begins as a 12th Century treatment, and morphs - period by historical period - all the way to the 20th Century. The premiere occurred at the Historic St. Luke's Organ Benefit Concert in 2005.
