Composed by Alan Silvestri, the film's title theme "I'm Forrest... Forrest Gump" is the first track on the Original Motion Picture Score.

It became known as the "Feather Theme" since it accompanies the film's famous opening sequence in which the camera follows a feather blowing in the wind until it lands at the feet of Forrest Gump, who's sitting on a park bench.
