Derek Hasted writes "Vangelis re-mastered this lovely piece at least once, but this is based on the original piece from the album Opéra Sauvage, or you may have come across it advertising Gallo wines...

The lush sustain and slow tempo of the original will always be a problem on guitar, but I have introduced some movement into the chords to create the illusion that the chord work is sustained throughout. Be sure to use a rounded tone to mimic the warmth of the original synthesizer, and perhaps roll the chords a little to give a more gentle start to each chord.

The sound file that sits alongside this edition is part real and part computer-generated, so it lacks the rubato that a real duet can obtain and which makes the piece come alive in front of an audience.

The music is presented as a part score for the flute and full score for the guitar (which has the role of accompanist).
