Sapphire - A jazz/blues number.  Andante with an opportunity for some improvisation.
Emerald - An up-tempo swing piece. Allegro 
Diamond - A piece written in 10/8 time but 4 beats to a bar (3+3+2+2) Also played with a swing. 
Ruby - Straight tempo but changes time signature throughout (4/4, 6/4)
