"Fortune Cookie" by the British indie pop band "Easy Life" from Leicester gives an affecting but deeply positive reminder to take care "if you're in need of repair" - a message that might be addressed to a friend, a family member or even a band or choir member that might be in a troubled state of mind and needs to hear that. Musically, the song is a nod to Randy Newman and his piano ballads.
The 4 part arrangement for mixed voices (soprano, alto, tenor and base) with piano accompaniment tries to capture the simplicity of the melodie and harmonize it carefully without destracting from the beautiful lyrics. The emotional message and the final "take care" make it a great farewell song at the end of a concert.
