A buck more, but worth it.

This is the same size/shape as the Alfred Lesson assignment book practice log is higher on the page instead of being placed lower and bisecting the page horizontally ,which I find annoying in the Alfred book. This gives you plenty of space to write assignments. It also says Date of Lesson at the top instead of Alfred's Next Lesson. I prefer to write the current date instead of the date of the next lesson on the page. I believe the staff is also smaller so you can write smaller notes which goes faster. You don't to wait and wait for students to fill in huge quarter notes, either. It does cost $1 more, but to me, it's worth it.

FJH Assignment book

I like the size of this assignment book with its space for the date, note to the parent, the full assignment and the staff at the bottom for giving the student some special exercises or theory. Its price is quite reasonable.
