An encounter with Papyrus involves lots of jumping, so this piece should feel just like that while you’re playing it. I found this piece to lend itself to Romanian and Hungarian folk music and took inspiration from those when approaching the arrangement. Lots of sudden dynamic contrasts to keep you on your toes, this piece explores the entire register of the piano, sometimes all at once!
