Basado en la versión del dueto Garzón y Collazos integrado por Darío Garzón Charry, primera voz y guitarra (Girardot, el 9 de enero de 1915 - 21 de marzo de 1986) y Eduardo Collazos Varón, segunda voz y tiple(Ibagué el 13 de octubre de 1916 - 23 de noviembre de 1977).
El pasillo fué compuesto por Félix Ramírez compositor, cantante y guitarrista de Támesis Antioquia.
Se llamó originalmente Adiós Ángela; en las casas disqueras y no les gustó por el ritmo, pues era un pasillo; entonces después lo cambiaron y en lugar de Adiós Ángela, se llamó Adiós madre mía, cuya grabación en LP Vol. 4 Sonolux LP 12-132 fue realizada por Garzón y Collazos.
