Obs.: This piece is the first of the Five Mazurkas, Op. 7, composed between 1830 and 1832. The mazurka is a traditional national dance of Poland. Typically, it has three beats per measure, and the second beat is to be slightly accentuated. Chopin wrote over fifty mazurkas for the piano, and this is one of the most popular.
