I would not recommend for a contest piece with a time limit. This song can be very long if slowed down, but other than that a wonderfully complex and challenging piece. Can be a mess if you don't plan to practice though!

I am not sure how I even found this piece, but the name of it caught my eye. I play at church and at other functions and love to play different pieces that people don't know....this piece is catchy and people will remember it after you perform it. I am playing this at church during lent...based on the title...my pianist loves it. It has a couple of rapid passages but very doable for a advanced intermediate player. Even the slower portion of the piece is doable for many players and you can easily just do that...it is very dreamy sounding to start and then it wakes everyone up....I assume that is the resolutions part of the song....
