Great music
Came in great condition and is exactly what I wanted. It took ~5 days to get the music, but other than that I couldnt be happier with the order.

Too edited
If you compare this to the facsimile at IMSLP, there are many changes by the editor. There are many appoggiaturas that were substituted by actual not values, and the bowings are not all that good...There's a cadenza suggestion, which might be good to follow, and the piano reduction is fine.

Music great - manscript cramped
The piece, although one of the cornerstones of the cello literature was only discovered in 1961. This is the first published edition and was edited by Slava. However its age shows with the music appearing cramped on the page and a bit hard to read. Although cheap, you are probably better off paying some more money and get a better produced version. Henle and Suzuki book 9 for the cello are alternatives that look good. The concerto is not that hard (by concerto standards) but there is a little bit of challenging chord work in the first movement (bars 83-84 ) that takes a lot of practice to get in tune and integrated with the music before and after it. Go on have a go, its got a great theme and impresses the non-cellists!
