Wonderful Resource
The Cortot study editions of the Chopin etudes are pure gold and it is valuable to read every word of his annotations. Do I practice everything he recommends? Of course not. Do I agree with everything he recommends? No.However, it provides and excellent perspective on pianism and how to practice.Opus 25 is best purchased along with the Opus 10 book, because sometimes he has already written out certain exercises and refers the pianist back to the other book.

As good as the Op. 10 edition
Cortot's edition of Op. 25 is just as precious as the Op. 10's. He still supplies practical advice as well as interpretative considerations. Just as in Op. 10, I would recommend getting another edition, such as Henle, as the main sheet and use Cortot as the study companion.

Fantastic Edition of Chopin's Op.25 Etudes
Like Cortot's edition of Chopin's Op.10 set, the Op.25 edition retains the high quality of engraving and printing, leading to great legibility, while continuing the commentary, suggestions and preliminary technical exercises. Very highly recommended addition to your library. The Cortot edition is my favorite edition of the Chopin Etudes; but, I use them in conjunction with editions by Paderewski, Mikuli and Friedheim, as using multiple editions is helpful with Chopin's music in particular.
