Composed by Frantisek Kmoch. Arranged by Joel Jacklich (ASCAP). Folk,World. Octavo. 3 pages. Joel Jacklich #3377533. Published by Joel Jacklich (A0.723126).

Green Groves (original text in Czech, with a prose translation by Joel Jacklich) is a Czech folk song used by Frantisek Kmoch (the Czech "March King") as the trio in his famous Green Groves March.  The song tells of a young woman's remembrance of her delight as a young girl in the the green groves, but now there are only sad, sad, times.  Her mood becomes brighter as she holds an embroidered  handkerchief wrapped around a sprig of rosemary (the symbol of remembrance) given her by her darling for her delight. .

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
