This first book of the World Famous Classics series takes you on a journey through musical history. The volume contains sixteen light classical melodies, nearly all of which will be familiar to you. The musical journey starts at the beginning of the 16th century with the Belgian composer Tylman Susato and the English king, Henry VIII. It continues with Johann Sebastian Bach (17th century), Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (18th century) and Jacques Offenbach (19th century), visiting many other well-known composers along the way. The journey finishes in the 20th century with the French composer Gabriel Faure.
