Technical notes: The odd meters of 8/8 and 6/8 are a bit tricky, but the key is in how the left hand is beamed. 8/8 is grouped as 3+3+2, whereas 16/8 is 3+3+3+3+2+2.
Imagine driving through a calm cityscape as the rain patters on your windshield. The lights are made blurry from the distortion of the water, almost as if the whole place is a watercolor painting that's bleeding together. Windshield Wipers is a piece I've been attempting to finish for years, and I couldn't be happier with the end result.
