When Irving Berlin wrote this song, he commented to his secretary that this is the best song he (or anyone else!) had ever written. Bing Crosby made White Christmas famous by singing it on his Christmas special a few weeks after the attack on Pearl Harbor, and in the classic movie Holiday Inn.
