An arrangement for violin and piano of one of my favourite christmas songs When A Child Is Born. The violin takes the melody in the first verse, with a contrapuntal accompaniment from the piano. In the second verse the roles are reversed with the violin taking a soaring countermelody before rejoining the piano with the melody after a rousing modulation.
The violin part is not too taxing so would suit a mid-grade student violinist or anyone looking for a christmas recital/encore piece.
