The arrangements are too "different" and uncomfortable, not pretty or even what I'd call nice. I have played for church and various soloists for many years. I do not like this book at all. The only good thing I appreciated was the separate pull-outs that came with it...

. So far, music has gone unused. Suggestion: Look elsewhere. Priced too high.

For an intermediate book, the pieces are exceptionally well arranged. I bought this book because it had viola accompaniment as well as violin (I am more of a violinist but play both) and really glad I did. I have played more than half of the pieces in church as special...

music, communion music, and as Preludes. Although the pieces aren't difficult for me -- I sight read them easily -- I am extremely pleased with the sophistication of the arrangements. A couple have a light Jazz feel to them which is interesting. Like any pieces however, the better player you are, the better they will sound.
