Published by Ong Wei Shen Keane (A0.934087).Veni Veni Emmanuel comes from the great "O Antiphons" which are used as vespers for the days leading up to Christmas eve. Originally used like a Gregorian chant, it has since been arranged into music with 3 or more part harmonies. Combined with the text from the litr Agnus Dei, the soloists and the chorus in this arrangement work hand in hand to create a modern perspective on this classic melody. While the chorus signify the people, the soloists signify three characters. Two are from the world, and the other, an angelic being. The soloists do not start out together musically, but as the end nears, the soloists and the chorus sing together in perfect harmony. This arrangement was inspired by all the strife and hurt in our world today and is dedicated to all of those in need, that they may find solace in God and in music. With a duration of approximately 4:30 minutes, this arrangement would be good as a concert or Advent selection.
