Published by Keith Terrett (A0.746620).An arrangement of the UAE national anthem for Brass Quintet. Adopted in 1971 without words, in 1986, the minister of education asked Dr. Aref Al Sheikh Abdullah Al Hassan (عارف الشيخ عبد الله الحسن) to write lyrics for it in the space of three days. Officially the anthem is still wordless, the lyrics not having recieved official recognition as the words to the anthem, but the lyrics are widely known throughout the country and are often sung. The author of the music also composed the music for the national anthems of Tunisia and Libya.
