The close harmonies Robert has created in Ubi Caritas create a warm support to this timeless text. The SATB writing is satisfying and your choir will enjoy that the basses, altos, and tenors sing verses 1, 2, and 3 respectively. There are some divisi in the soprano during the first verse to deepen the breadth of sound, which is especially nice while the basses have the melody. A final refrain has subtle dynamics that will enhance the interpretation until the "Amen" at the last measure. This is an a cappella performance that your choir and your assembly will long remember!
