Composed by Gerardo Jose Rodriguez Padilla. Contemporary. 24 pages. Gerardo Rodriguez #1991319. Published by Gerardo Rodriguez (A0.986941).

The Two Pieces for String Trio was originally composed for students of the New York Youth Symphony's Chamber Music Program in collaboration with the NYYS's Composition Program. It was premiered in 2013 in Symphony Space's Leonard Nimoy Thalia Theatre.

The work consists of two short contrasting movements, both of which are no longer two minutes long.

Performance Notes: The first movement - due to its extremely slow speed and its brevity - could be performed directly from the score, which the initial performers of this work found easier to do. Because of this, I have included the score of the first movement in each of the instruments' parts. You can find it at the end of each part. However, I have also included separate parts for each instrument as well if the ensemble prefers to perform the first movement from individual parts.
