Information about the piece
Written by Russian 20th Century composer Sergei Prokofiev, Troika is the fourth movement from his Suite 'Lieutentant Kijé'. Although the suite is not a christmas piece, the Troika has traditionally been played at christmas due to its representation as a sleigh ride. The melody from this piece has also been used in the popular christmas song 'I Believe in Father Christmas' by Greg Lake.
This piece is suitable to be played at Christmas Time.
