Marty has taken eight songs written for worship and cleverly eidted them with singing carefully woven throughout extended, improvised, instrumental versions. The result is something we have never before had the privilege to offer. The texts: words of comfort, consolation, hope, and trust in an ever loving God. The music: comforting and soothing, calming and meditative. This collection is perfect for people who might be going through a difficult time in life, for those who have no choice but to take the time to grieve, reflect, or find a space for peace and reconciliation. There's a new arrangement of "Song of the Exile," written early in Marty's composition career, along with seven new works. "Gathered in the Love of Christ/Canon in D" is based on the famous canon by Pachelbel-a perfect choice for the procession and gathering song at weddings. "Love beyond All Telling" has a lullaby feel and a hope-filled, assuring text. "Hands of Healing" is a delightful call-and-response song, which works in canon and is just right for children as well as adults. The title song has a mantra-like refrain surrounded by a haunting Hawaiian chant.
