Composed by Trad. Scottish. Arranged by Nigel Williams. Celtic,Film/TV,Irish,Traditional. 6 pages. Nigel Williams #3129681. Published by Nigel Williams (A0.763259).

This iconic Scottish folk song which features on the Television drama Outlander is in this arrangement set for SATB mixed voice choir. The familiar tune in each verse is sung by a different section of the choir which makes this arrangement attractive to singers. The harmonic language, while sympathetic to the simple nature of the tune, allows for some rich progressions at the end of verses where they lead into the refrain. An upward key shift leads to the final refrain where the tempo pulls back at 'Carry the lad that's born to be king'. Three and a half minutes in performance and intermediate in difficulty level, this music is ideal for High School, College Glee clubs and community choirs.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
