The Gospel Truth III stammt aus dem von Gospelmusik beeinflussten Soundtrack zum Disney-Zeichentrickfilm Herkules. Das dreiteilige Lied The Gospel Truth beleuchtet den Hintergrund der Geschichte um den Helden Herkules, den Sohn von Zeus, der auf der Erde aufwachst. Andrew Watkin nahm sich den dritten Teil dieses wunderbaren Liedes vor und bearbeitete ihn fur Blechblaserquintett.

La bande originale du film d'animation Hercule est fortement influencee par le gospel. Les paroles de la trilogie intitulee The Gospel Truth I-III (Le gospel pur I-III) resument l'histoire et laissent deviner que le film sera petillant d'humour et de droleries. Andrew Watkin a arrange le troisieme volet de The Gospel Truth pour Quintette de Cuivres (instrumentation : 2 Trompettes Sib, Cor en Fa/Mib, Trombone en Ut BC ou Trombone Sib TC,Tuba en Ut BC ou Basse Mib TC ou Basse Sib TC).

La colonna sonora originale del film d'animazione Hercules e fortemente influenzata dal gospel.
