First, students will use the 8 va and 8 vb concepts, utilizing the full range of the piano throughout by crossing the hands during play. Second, an imagination of being on the sea requires students to perform the piece with a technique which produces a sound accordingly. Third, frequent dynamic changes mimic danger on the high seas as well as calm conditions. Lastly, students will reinforce their ability to count in 6/8 time. My students have enjoyed playing The Ever Changing C for many years. They enjoy the flow of the piece as well as the challenge of the cross-overs. I know your students will enjoy the piece as much as mine!
