  • July 27, 2009 Wonderful!

An excellent edition to your collection of festival hymn settings. If you want to get your congregation singing, work one of these arrangements up with your choir and just let the pipes ring. As a choir director / organist it is very hard to find festive hymn arrangements with just organ...

accompaniment, this book ranks very high on my list. The arrangement of Joyful! Joyful! was used in my congregation as a last minute thing, it wasn't printed in the bulletin, but was used because we ran out of distribution hymns during communion, so I looked at my soprano section of the choir, we had only sight read it once, but they did it, and the congregation had never sung that well before.
