Composed by Drake Mabry. 20th Century,Contemporary. Individual part. 14 pages. Drake Mabry #2015073. Published by Drake Mabry (A0.799351).

Street Cries was written for Michael Richards in 1983. The work uses quarter-tones, multiphonics and other special techniques. In the first movement, the quarter-tones are considered as vocal inflections of the clarinet pitches. The second movement feature multiphonics which sometimes begin as single notes and flowers out to several. It is a meditative, floating movement. The third movement is an athletic romp around the instrument. This is the manuscript edition. The duration is 8'45.
Street Cries was premiered by Michael Richards at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire on January 29, 1984.
