This collection of gems is a must for all of my students, and I like this Snell edition for its clean editing. Arranged in approximate order of difficulty, each study is 2 pages in length and appropriate for students after about level 2B of most lesson books. A wide variety of technical issue are addressed, yet these little etudes are more like recital pieces than exercises. Hand span is no more than a 7th for most pieces, little to no pedal necessary. Even my adult students love these pieces. Musically satisfying so they enjoy practicing.
