This tribute to the great composer is right out of the tradition and is easy to rehearse. Full of standard rhythmic and melodic figures it would make a great training vehicle for young bands. Fully scored rhythm section parts, no improvised solos, extensive part doubling. Limited ranges for brass with trombone 4 scored for optional euphonium. The medium tempo swing feel is easy to master but with some challenges for all sections to get their teeth into. Great fun for both ensemble and audience.
