    Difficulty Level:

I am a French hon player and teacher and the Eccles has been transcribed for horn but I like using the original. It forces us to think in bass clef and is great for teaching reading. It also works well for horn. I know it isn't the same but...

it's good music. My difficulty level rating is for a horn player, not a string player.

It was a difficult piece for me, as a bass player. It is played in fourth and fifth positions.
