"Solitude" for solo piano.
This piece is in the form of a Modern Romantic Nocturne- the melody is disguised within the quaver movement of the right hand.
There are different moods reflected within- a reflective opening in a minor key which leads to a gentle waltz like second section before returning the the first section. After this, the main melody goes into the major key drawing passionate chords towards the finale, finishing with a reflective ending back in the minor key.
The level is top end intermediate may just cross the line to advanced intermediate in a couple of bars or so. The full score is on the youtube link for you to assess suitability.
It is very suitable for concerts, recitals, repertoire, and technique and training, with particular emphasis on musical shape and phrasing.
