Solitude is a new piano composition by James Michael Stevens that is written in a relaxing and very introspective style. It is intentionally geared for the intermediate student as there is never more than an octave stretch in either hand throughout the entire piece with the L.H. playing broken chords and the R.H. playing melody with an occasional chord beneath. James Michael Stevens is a prolific composer residing in Nashville, TN where he serves as the Music Department Chairman at Welch College. He is known internationally for his choral anthems, piano arrangements/compositions, and piano improvisation workshops. Dr. Stevens' music can be heard on Pandora Radio, Spotify, and many music venues around the world.
