P. E. Bach contains the music for both the original piece (Piano 1) and my new second piano part (Piano 2). I composed the accompaniment in 1998 while I was working on my Rachmaninoff CD (JRB CD-2002) and was immersed in that composers music including his arrangements of Bach and others. That most likely had an influence on my addition which is clearly "post-romantic" in spirit. There is even a little touch of Edvard Grieg whom Rachmaninoff admired greatly. It is dedicated to my daughter whom I wrote it for as she was learning the piece.
