Published by Rainous Publishing (A0.930906).A short piece (around 3'15") for two flutes, Solace was written for the Women's Missionary Society of the Brethren Church and premiered in the spring of 2017 at a regional meeting. While listed as intermediate difficulty, there is a key change, some dissonant intervals (e.g., 2nds), and flute 2 should flutter-tongue. A great instructional piece for blossoming performers and perfect for use as prelude, postlude, or special music during liturgy. The piece is provided in two keys: E minor and the original, darker sounding E-flat minor.
The file purchased is a performer's score; both parts are written out for each performer's reference, and staves of only rests are hidden to save paper and ink.
